Amazing Grace x Havana Club  Present:
Time to Shrine: Karl Benjamin, Shamiya Battles, Saïna

Time To Shrine is a music showcase, curated by Amazing Grace in collaboration with Havana Club.

Together we are working with and welcoming major talent agencies to bring the best new talent to our stage. Time to Shrine features a selection of London’s top up and coming musicians, singers, and song writers.

This event, along side fantastic music, will showcase stunning 3D mapping projections, bespoke cocktails, talks, and a give away competition. This month we are featuring the incredible talent of:

Karl Benjamin is a singer/songwriter born and raised in West London. He fell in love with music from an early age, listening to his older sister sing around the house 24/7.

After completing a degree in Professional Musicianship in Brighton UK, he began crafting his first body of work and in November 2020 released his first single, ‘Apricot Sky’. Following the success of his first single, he then released ‘Moon’ a stunning, sonic representation of his journey to finding love. ‘Moon’ became his most successful single to date, culminating over a million streams across multiple streaming platforms.
Following his two singles, DRIST (an anagram for Deep Rooted Insecurities and Shy Tendencies) was released in March 2021. With the success of the project’s release, he got the opportunity to create & film an acoustic version of ‘Moon’ with Neo Soul legend, Omar.

Since then Karl has gone on to play a number of shows including his debut sold-ou headline show at Servants Jazz Quarters and more recently supporting US star Tinashe on her EU/UK tour, and gracing the stage with Mahalia presents, sharing his passion for music and creativity with his fans on the way.

Shamiya Battles is a self-producing, singer-songwriter from South London. An alt-R&B artist with dulcet tones that takes inspiration from the likes of Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Stevie Wonder and many more. Shamiya’s strict up-bringing led her to the start of her musical journey where she first discovered music after a rebellious moment when Aaliyah’s ‘More Than A Woman’ appeared on MTV.

Following the success of her debut Be Myself EP Shamiya has gained attention from many media outlets including BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio London, No Signal, Reprezent Radio, GUAP Magazine and more. In 2021, Shamiya has decided to fully immerse herself as an artist, writer and producer.

Northwest London-based singer/songwriter/producer Saïna (pronounced Sa-ee-na) took up the piano and guitar age 7, started to write her own songs age 12 and attended the BRIT School. Working from her bedroom studio, she writes and collaborates with other musicians to carve out a style influenced by Neo-Soul, RnB, Jazz & Hip Hop. Through the striking visual imagery and irony in her lyrics, she explores themes of connection, vulnerability and renewal.
